The romance between Emilia and Vicious was steamy, angsty, and tension filled. The plot was very much entertaining, addicting, and engaging! From the start, I was hooked to the plot. There’s also another character named Trent but I didn’t paid much attention to him. He seemed like a decent guy and not at all vicious like our hero. She was fun and very much protective of her sister.
As for the secondary characters, I liked Emilia’s sister Rosie. I absolutely hate him but a tiny little part of me liked him at the end. Seriously, you’ll either hate this guy or like him. His mind was always on the gutter when it comes to Emilia. I like arrogant jerks in my romance books but Vicious seemed too cold-hearted and mean. Although I enjoyed reading his character, I wouldn’t say he was my favorite. Ten years later, fate brings them back together. He wants her out of his life and he does succeed by using his nefarious ways. She’s the only one who knows his dark secret and he feels she might become a trouble for him. He’s pretty much obsessed with Emilia but at the same he hates the goodness in her which makes him wants to corrupt her. On the other hand, Vicious is a total bully and Class A A-hole. She hates her attraction to him but she don’t know why she feels so much drawn to him whenever he was near. It’s the real him and you just have to deal with it!Įmilia is your typical sassy and sweet girl who has a strange fascination for Vicious, the school’s bad boy and a rich spoiled brat. It was an addicting read! Even after finishing the book, I still hate the guy because he was still kind of an A-hole till the very end. So it’s kind of a hate to love romance which I’m totally sucker for. He’s quite an arrogant douchebag who’s obsessed with the heroine but also hates her. The male lead in this book was totally messed up.
I can now understand why there’s so much hype surrounding this book but I don’t think it would work out for everyone. Shen but I’ve heard great things about this series especially Vicious so I finally decided to give it a shot and I wasn’t disappointed.
